Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween at school. Thank you to the mom's and dad's who helped out! It's always easier with more hands! We had several delicious treats, fun games, and a fabulous parade.

Picture Lady

On Thursday we had Mrs. Suiter and Mrs. DeNoma come in and help us do a Halloween art project. We made bats out of balloons!

Breast Cancer Awareness

On Wednesday our school wore pink to raise money for Breast Cancer. Each child had to bring in 50 cents in order to wear pink instead of our uniforms. I was touched that even some students who didn't "dress down" brought in money. The school raised about $150.

Here we are sporting our pink gear :)

Grandparent's Day

For Grandparent's Day this year we had Mass, the kids put on a show and sang songs from TV hits, had doughnuts and coffee, and took their Grandparent's around their school.

Caterpillars

Our art project for last week was creating a caterpillar out of pom poms, Popsicle sticks, and sticky eyes.

Insects

We have been working on insects this month. We've learned the 3 main body parts, characteristics, life cycles, and all sorts of interesting bug facts. Last Tuesday we made insects out of Play Dough. Each insect had to have the 3 main body parts. The kids really enjoyed it.

Pig Race

In September our class participated in the school's Pig Race. We came up with our own pig, how to decorate it, and what it's name was. Meet "Frankenpig." We also made signs for our pig! We won the first race, but lost the second. :)
